Hello September

The Great Wheel is turning, heralding the arrival of Autumn’s first signs. It’s a bittersweet feeling; while I adore Autumn with its cooler days and the trees’ changing hues, I know I’ll miss Summer’s warmth and Spring’s vibrancy.
Over time, I’ve made peace with the changing seasons, greatly aided by Yoga. I now embrace Autumn’s deceleration, and the prospect of lighting the sauna and wood burner at home fills me with anticipation. The Autumn Equinox is just three weeks away, marking a brief balance between day and night before we transition into the year’s darker, more restful half.
Despite the modern world urging us to persist through the season without slowing, Yoga remains a vital practice, helping us honor the season and attend to our bodies’ and minds’ needs.
The darker half of the year is my favorite time in the studio because it’s cosy, warm, and quiet. It’s an opportunity to delve deeper into Yin and Restorative Yoga. Even Gong Baths seem to acquire a more magical quality.
I hope you can join us for classes and workshops in the new seasons ahead.

Hello September Gong Bath

Sat 7th Sept 7 ‐ 8.15pm
A few spaces left for this lovely Gong Bath.
We welcome September and the qualities it brings. While we may still be savoring the tail end of summer, the signs of change are palpable. The bustle of spring and summer begins to wane, children return to school, and the hedgerows burgeon with fruits and berries, signaling our shift in focus to the forthcoming season.
I adore autumn with its vibrant tapestry of colors! We transition from the fiery energy to the more fluid energy of water. Our energies shift from the active Yang to the passive Yin as we approach the Autumn Equinox. Let us embrace rather than fear the change, and begin to accept the season with its inherent qualities of release.
(please note this Gong Bath is in a different venue, about 15 mins from the studio. There will be time for a silent walking meditation, weather permitting and tea after)
